Anthony Napoletano, Managing Director

Tony is the managing member of Primary Impact.  Tony has over 20 years of experience in consulting, marketing, sales, and engineering with focus in plastics, automotivemedical devices, and pharmaceuticals.  For 10 years, his consulting experience has been with Fortune 500, mid-sized companies, start-ups and Chinese-owned companies.

Before forming Primary Impact, Tony established a marketing consulting company in 1997 which supplied focused competitive intelligence and market reports to the plastics industry and larger consulting companies.

Today in China, it handles the plastics, automotive, medical devices, and pharmaceutical industries.

Primary Impact was formed to address clients focused on the U.S. and China interested in pharmaceuticals, automotive, medical devices and plastics.  Tony is responsible in helping clients with business planning, competitive analysis, "market intelligence" and sales consulting.  Experience for Tony includes North American marketing management for Laird Inc. and sales development for Polymer Corporation.

Tony earned a B.S. in Engineering from Widener University.  He is a member of the Society of Plastics Engineers and the Society of Automotive Engineers.

CHINA PRINCIPALS

Huang D.

Huang has over 10 years in the chemical market working for a global company and over 5 years working for a medical device manufacturer.  He was educated and worked as an engineer for almost 6 years and then focused on conducting business with Chinese suppliers and distributors.  This role involved material sourcing, identification of a manufacturing partner, product approvals, and market development in China.

His expertise includes project management, new product introduction, involvement with the Ministry of Health, and medical reimbursement for a global medical device company.  Specifically, Huang has considerable experience managing a team to introduce a newly approved line of endoscopic products into hospitals.  Additional experience includes catheters for interventional cardiology, procedural trays, and fluoroscopic accessories.

Huang earned an M.S. in Polymer Sciences from Georgia Tech.

Chen Z.

Chen has over 20 years in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry working for both a hospital and a manufacturer.

He has worked in hospitals for over 10 years as a doctor and understands its operation and administration.  This medical experience along with his network in the hospitals are key for his success in sales and marketing for "pharmaceutical" and "medical device" manufacturers.

His expertise includes managing a medical device sales team, involvement with the Ministry of Health and state FDA, and management of clinical trials in China.  Chen has experience in product approvals in China for international companies.

Chen earned a Medical Doctor degree from Nanjing Medical University.

Ji W.

Ji has over 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry working for two global manufacturers.  He has hired, trained, and managed salespeople in the U.S., Europe, and China.  His expertise involves managing a sales force over 2000 people in China, involvement with high level officials in Chinese government, the Ministry of Health, and Chinese hospital administrators.

His background includes sales and marketing management at AstraZeneca China, Ltd.

Ji earned an M.B.A. from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania

Bin T.

Bin has over 16 years in the medical device industry working for both a global and Chinese medical device manufacturer.  He has worked with technical people in quality and design for CT, MRI, and other types of medical diagnostic equipment.  His strong success in medical device sales in Northeast China for Siemens helped promote him to various product development roles.

His expertise includes introducing government approved X-Ray, CT, and MRI products into hospitals in China.  Bin has experience in new product development, marketing and district management for Siemens China.

Bin earned an M.S. in physics from Tsinghau University.

Tsu P.

Tsu has nearly 15 years experience in the plastics industry including brief exposue to manufacturing and long-term assignments in marketing and sales.  He has conducted assignments on market strategies, pricing, competitors, customers, competitive manufacturing economics, and raw material costs.  He has discovered material costs for global plastic resin manufacturers, compounders, additive producers and OEMs.

He moved to field sales servicing injection molders in Jilin province supporting automotive manufacturing based in Changchun.  At Dongguan Compounds, Tsu's material knowledge, technical background and hands-on experience helped the automotive business have annual double digit growth.

Tsu began his career running extrusion machinery and supervised workers running multiple lines in a plastic compounding plant.  Responsibilities involved plant management including production planning, supervision, scheduling, troubleshooting, and preventitive maintenance.  His production experience allowed him to understand and appreciate the importance of production planning when running multiple colors and masterbatches.

Tsu earned a B.S. in chemical engineering from Jilin University and is associated with the Chinese Society of Plastic.

Xi C.

Xi has over 10 years experience in the plastics industry including marketing and sales of engineering thermoplastics and volume thermoplastics from GE, Dupont and BASF.

He is based in Shanghai and services Tier 1-2 automotive, injection molders in the Shanghai area.  Molders supply parts to GM, Volkswagon, and other automotive manufacturers.  Xi has material knowledge, a technical background, and network marketing experience which has made him a top salesperson for two consecutive years.

Xi earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Shanghai Jiaotong University and is a member of the Chinese Society of Automotive Engineers.

Wu F.

Wu has nearly 10 years experience in air compressors, electric equipment and the arts-and-crafts industry.  Assignments include manufacturing, marketing and sales.  Manufacturing assignment involved an air compressor plant and an electric equipment factory which was a joint venture with an Italian company.  Projects involved market strategies, cooperating with foreign companies, pricing, "competitive" manufacturing economics, and finding raw material costs for hardware suppliers, arts-and-crafts products, and OEMs.

She has foreign trade knowledge from working for an Art & Crafts company in Guangzhou city, Guangdong Province.  Their main customer was Wal-Mart who was constantly challenging them to boost their capacity.  Her responsibilities involved assisting the General Manager, daily planning, coordinating amoung departments, scheduling meetings, dealing with various Foreign Trade documents, and attending the Annual Canton Fair.  She also had experience meeting with foreign business people and designers from the U.S., United Kingdom, Australia and the Netherlands.

Wu earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Fujian Agriculture University.

Li W.

Li has been practicing law with the former Guangzhou Foreign Economic Law Office since 1991.  He has been in legal practice over 15 years and has become a partner with a Guangzhou law firm in 1995.  The Guangzhou firm has 10 partners and 25 lawyers.

He has been invited to give lectures on Chinese foreign investment law in the U.K., Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.  His expertise covers foreign investment law concerning establishing different kinds of business presence in China by foreign investors, involvement with investment vehicles, liason with Chinese local partners and government agents, commercial contracts and negotiations, capital market transactions, risk asset management, and mergers and acquisitions.

Li earned a B.S. in political science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a LL.M degree from the law school of Shanghai FuDan University.  In the mid-1990's, Li furthered his legal study in both the School of Oriental and African Studies of London University and the European Community.  During that time, Li has been seconded with a leading U.K. firm and served in its Hong Kong office for 10 months.
