Identifying Pharmaceutical Main Competitor's Pipeline


A major pharmaceutical business wanted to know the new competitive, chemical entities in all stages of development for their main competitor in the same therapeutic area.  Also, they wanted any information about the delivery systems, recent alliances, and the compounds pending approval.  Primary Impact conducted primary competitive intelligence of the target "pharmaceutical company".

A detailed competitor profile identifying entities from discovery through final approval involved speaking with chemists, spectroscopy scientists, genomic scientists, regulatory authorities, pharmacists, drug information personnel, chemical entity formulators and clinicians.

Primary Impact's report revealed that two drugs were close to commercialization and would be offered in patches and capsules.  We also identified that six potential breakthroughs occurred after their genomics laboratory identified only a handful of genes responsible for specific therapeutic conditions.  These six were in the process of moving into the compound profiling department.
