Discovering firsthand intelligence involves 80% of each project.  Discovery is done by our people on the street in China.  Sources include product development engineers, production managers, marketing managers, business owners, R&D personnel, quality engineers, regulatory authorities, government agency personnel, purchasing managers, raw material suppliers, shipping and receiving personnel, field salespeople, customer service personnel, building owners and trade association personnel.

SECONDARY RESEARCH

Gathering secondary information involves 10% of each project.  Sources include business filings, government statistics, trade associations, trade journals, and subscription services.  Information includes patent filings, financial reporting, published articles, press releases, and government data.

REPORT

Condensing the information in a report and making recommendations involves 10% of each project.  The report focus is consulting.  That is, answering the client original questions and providing clear, insightful direction to increase revenues and improve profitability.

About Us

Primary Impact started in the plastics, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries in the U.S. in 1997 and expanded into China in 2001.  In late 2001, we began covering the auto business in China.   Primary Impact provides business consulting for U.S. and European suppliers to China. 

Primary Impact intelligence professionals have technical and medical backgrounds and work on the street in China and the U.S..  Many of us have lived in multiple countries for an extended time (6 months to 15 years) and now reside in the "U.S." and "China".
